Can relate to the shopping ban, sometimes you need a break to truly appreciate all the great things you already have.

Once again I’m so amazed. You would have spent more at COS!

So true! And to start being more creative! Sometimes I'm used to wearing something one way and never think about styling it differently.

Thank you, sweetie <3 Definitely for cashmere, would be at least 250 for the sweater!

Let’s be frank the only reason pieces are competitive is because of the resellers that are buying the pieces and selling them at a profit. Having said that there’s an increasing amount of Céline online at all price points, at least here in the US x

Interesting. What do you think is driving that increased supply of Celine?

It’s a combination of things but generally speaking the American fashion consumer is very fickle. They like to buy into trends but then move on. They rarely hold on to clothing for very long. But there’s always been a lot of Old Céline on resale and it goes in cycles. It was never that commercially successful to begin with, RTW especially, and you’d always find it in the outlets and on websites like Yoox.

What are your favourite US resale platforms except TRR? :)

So true! I also think that more people are getting into buying designer pieces second-hand or on resale in general. And when it comes to Old Céline, it’s only become more popular since Phoebe Philo launched her brand - especially with those prices. A lot of people are realizing they can find similar Old Céline pieces for way less!

Yes price but also desirability. ‘Old Céline’ is still very covetable and it’s also never been easier to buy second hand, sometimes easier than buying new. Though the Row is incredibly successful here in the US and the prices are the same. I don’t think prices for RTW have gone up that much compared to what it was originally. It’s mainly leather goods and accessories that are a lot more expensive. For resale, there are many places to go, specifically for clothing I would say Poshmark, Mercari (both US only) but The Real Real is where the big ticket items are sold. I would say 60% of items sold on certain instagram accounts comes from there. You pay a membership fee which gives you access to items before they go to the general public. Though items sometimes get returned and/or forgotten and there are a few bargains. Though my major tip for collecting is to stick to your wish list and don’t get distracted. Hope this helps!
