Hi hi,
As I’ve already shared with you I have been looking for the Céline pieces that were repeated or reimagined by Phoebe Philo for her own brand. I love noticing these similarities and it’s kind of more fun to me to find the archival pieces and obviously it’s less (much much less) expensive. Would I be doing that if I had all the money in the world? Yes, as I’ve realised that Céline is how I want to look now, in my 30s, and Phoebe Philo is how I want to imagine a future me.
But still let’s see if it’s possible to create some new Phoebe Philo looks with my old Céline pieces. This little project was actually really fun to shoot and I enjoyed it a lot :)
So the first outfit was inspired by the silhouette and surprisingly the shape of the plastic tote bag turned out to be super similar to the shape of the Bean Bag (which is my favourite PP bag so far)! I’m wearing a beige wool high neck top and a skirt from Spring 2016 RTW.
This khaki leather jacket is my recent purchase and to me it looks really similar to the new PP one. I’m not sure of the collection, I think it’s 2017 or 2018, it has a hood and I love to put the collar up as well.
I’m obsessed with the skirts lately, and this Céline scarf skirt is no exception! It’s a bit longer than PP one, has different clasps, but the idea is still the same! Too bad I didn’t have black tights to complete the look.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen these ballet flats, but I’m so so happy to have them again! I bought them in 2014 and had been wearing for several years, it was my favourite pair of shoes at that time, and after seeing these PP soft flats I had to buy them again! Found them on Vinted for €35!
This scarf t-shirt from Resort 2018 and burgundy velvet trousers from Pre-Fall 2018 together reminded me of this PP look! Different fabrics, not as dressed up, but I still like it as much.
I totally forgot about the leggings that were released in the first PP edit and are pretty much the same as the Céline ones from Fall 2016 collection, but I didn’t forget to make a video of the dancing tassel shoes!
Will continue to look for the similar pieces and let you know if I find more! Hope you enjoyed this one and have a wonderful weekend,
Veronika
I love this idea! What an excellent way to approach it and highlight the similarities. Very inspirational, yes.
Omg the video! 😍😂
