New Everything but Old Celine!

Hello from Lisbon!

Wow, it still feels surreal to think that we live here now. Long story short - we applied for a digital nomad visa as my husband has a remote job and it was approved in November. We planned this move for a while but you can never be prepared enough to leave the place you called home and say goodbye to your closest friends.

Yesterday we signed a contract for the new apartment. It took us a while to find the one we really liked, but this one ticked a lot of boxes. This time we decided to sell all of our furniture in Tel Aviv and buy everything new here. I mean, buy a lot of the same things we’ve had before, but new. But even without the furniture we had 13 suitcases and I managed to bring all my The Gentlewoman issues (23 kg!), all of our paintings and posters (my friend Olya made a huge painting for me as a farewell gift), favourite books, two Ikea stools that were discontinued, Céline shoe boxes (yes, I’m that crazy), HAY ceramics, SERAX cups (perfect shape and size), and Herman took his Lego Star Wars models, his wires and boys’ things, so at least we’ll have something of ours at the new place.

And of course, my Céline collection, my clothes and shoes, my lookbooks and posters, with everything that is changing that’s my core, my foundation, my home away from home (but where is home now I don't know). I just can’t wait to unpack and find a dedicated place for everything.

I actually wanted to show you some of the new things I acquired recently, but as we’re almost in the New Year I thought I’d make some kind of wishlist for 2024. And though it’s impossible to plan these purchases on resale I feel like when I have something very particular on my mind it appears somewhere rather quickly (but not always for the price I want haha).

So here’s my list (all the photos are from The Real Real):

Jewellery - all the Baroque earrings!

Coats/blazers - double sided trench coat, jewel button coat (or blazer), coat with flower print, long grey coat with belt (but just more coats and blazers in general!).

Dresses - Yves Klein dress (read about my first attempt of buying it here) and dress with a map print are my priority ones for the collection.

Shoes - pirate sandals or/and mules in any color, Frame boots in brown and white, Glove sandals and Glove boots.

Bags - Made in Tote bag in black leather, Big Bag in medium size in olive green or mustard yellow, Medium Black Belt bag + black/green blanket from the collaboration with Peter Miles Studio.

Of course there would be other Céline purchases next year, but to find these would be very special. Guess what was the first thing I’ve done once we got the address? You’re right, I ordered something from Vestiaire Collective :) So stay tuned for the next newsletter (first one in 2024), I will share my latest Céline finds. That’s all for now!
