How Much Did I Spend on Céline in January

Let’s talk about money this week, or about spendings more specifically, and count how much did I spend on Céline in January. For some it might look like I spend a lot, and if I had been buying everything new from the store it would be an insane number with many zeros, but thanks to resale I spend as much as I would spend buying from a high street brand (or sometimes even a mass market brand).

I check many platforms and websites, but my go to as always are Vestiaire Collective, The Real Real, Vinted and some small local consignment stores. If I don’t mention a place where I bought something, that means I don’t want to reveal my sources. Just kidding :) That means it’s a local platform without international shipping and it doesn’t make much sense to share it. Also with the currency exchange rates the prices can seem very low in euro but are more “adequate” in a local currency.

In January most of the things I bought were from Vinted and you’ve already seen most of them (prices include shipping):

• Black jeans from Pre-Fall 2018, €69

• Red cable knit sweater, €90

• Skirt with a floral print from Spring 2017, €69

• Red tights from Spring 2017, €20

• White plimsole sneakers from Spring 2017, €122

On a local resale platform I also bought:

• Oversized sweatshirt from Pre-Fall 2018, €74

• Long puffer vest in ecru color from Pre-Fall 2018, €330

could only find a photo of the short version of the vest

I also found black Planet rubber boots from Pre-Fall 2018 in a consignment store for €230, but I’m not sure if I need two pairs (I have a white pair) and thinking about keeping just one, but will decide on the color when the black pair arrives. On the other hand these boots are already some kind of an art piece and it might be fun to keep both pairs and place them on display somewhere in the living room.

So in total it would be around €1000 for 8 pieces, one of which is the coat and normally would cost around €700 on resale (size FR34 for €625 and size FR36 for €856 on Vestiaire Collective), and Planet boots are quite rare and also can be found for no less than €800-1000 (size 40 on Resee for €1220 and longer version in size 42 on Ebay for €4140).

I received the red tights today, and what would you expect from the tights, right? But even the tights were produced in the most amazing quality. Would I buy them for the original price, I’m not sure, but for €20 I’m all in!
